Zen House is an intimate creative venue in Cooper-Young designed for private events, social gatherings, music-centered experiences, workshops, and small community events.

Tables and Chairs

Zen House includes approximately 12-14 indoor and outdoor tables with 50 individual chairs for events. Please include your estimated guest count and setup needs in your booking request so we can confirm the best layout for your event.

  • Dance floor with lounge seating

  • Workshop or classroom setup

  • Vendor table setup

  • Performance or concert seating

A/V & Entertainment

Zen House is a music-ready space with sound and stage features for events that include DJs, bands, speakers, screenings, or presentations.

Available features include:

  • An elevated DJ Booth with a VIP Green Room conveniently located behind it with comfy couches and upholstered chairs.

  • State-of-the-Art Sound system

    • Behringer X32 Console

    • 4 QSL Speakers

    • 2 QSL Subwoofers

    • 2 Behringer Stage Monitors

    • Shure 57 + 58 Microphones and Mic Stands

  • Stage w/ stage lighting

  • Projector & Screen

*For events with a DJ, live band, or amplified performance, a designated sound engineer may be required. This helps protect the venue equipment, manage sound levels, and keep the event experience smooth.

Food. Drinks. Vendors

Zen House rentals are BYOB and BYOF unless otherwise stated. The main room has 25 feet of bar space and two refrigerators. We also have a kitchen area with prep tables, sinks and a microwave for host use.

Guests may be allowed to bring:

  • Food

  • Drinks

  • Catering

  • Bartender

  • Decorations

  • DJ

  • Photographer

  • Event vendors

*Events involving alcohol, ticket sales, public admission, amplified sound, or outside vendors may require additional review.

Setup and Cleanup

Please include setup and breakdown time in your rental request.

Hosts are responsible for:

  • Removing decorations

  • Cleaning up food and drink items

  • Removing trash or event materials as instructed

  • Returning the space to its approved condition

  • Making sure guests and vendors respect the property

*Additional cleaning fees may apply if the venue is not returned properly.

Important Rules

To protect the venue and keep the experience smooth, all events must follow Zen House rules related to:

  • Guest capacity

  • Noise levels

  • Parking

  • Alcohol

  • Outside vendors

  • Decorations

  • Cleanup

  • Property care

  • Event start and end times

*Events that are public, ticketed, alcohol-centered, high-risk, or unclear in purpose may require additional review before approval.

Booking Process

  2. Submit the booking request form.

  3. We confirm availability.

  4. You will receive next steps for pricing, agreement, and deposit.

  5. Your date is secured once the required agreement and payment are completed.
